Ambitious Astwood Bank begin their road to Lords this Sunday



Astwood Bank Cricket Club, of the Worcestershire County Premier Division, starts a journey this weekend which willhopefully end with an appearance at Lord’s, the spiritual home of English cricket.

The ‘Bank are no strangers to the Village Cup, reaching Lord’s in 2003 and narrowly missing out on last season'sshow piece final, falling to eventual runners-up Houghton Main in a thrilling semi-final.

Astwood Banks first match is at home to Exhall & Wixford onSunday 9th August. Chairman Mark Brind confirms that visitors are welcome to come along and support and the clubhouse bar will be open. he also mentioned that there isplenty of space and all social distancing measures in place.
