Holly Neal Volunteers week- Day 7

Our final Banker under the spotlight to celebrate Volunteers week in 2022 is Holly Neal. It's taken nearly all season to finish but it's been worth the wait because Holly is the latest winner of the John Alexander Award. This award is given to a young member of Astwood Bank Cricket Club that has helped to make a big difference in the junior section. Holly has been coaching the girls under 9 team with distinction and also been a key member of the Thursday evening Mini Bankers crew. Well done Holly you've had a great summer.

Name ?

Holly Neal, aged 17. I’ve been at the club for about 10 years and I help coach every Thursday and Friday night. I love doing cricket because my grandad is a huge cricket fan and it’s been passed down through the family.

What is your role at ABCC?

Most injured player for the ladies 1st team and u9 girls coach .

What do you like about being a volunteer at ABCC?

I love volunteering because it’s amazing to see the kids develop throughout the season and know that you’ve helped them on their journey .

If more people at ABCC became involved as volunteers how would that help the club? Having more volunteers means that more kids can get involved within the game and more people are welcomed into the incredible ABCC family.
