Online winter cricket training for ABCC juniors

Tom Underhill, Astwood Bank Cricket Club’s answer to Joe Wicks, will be running an online training session for juniors to do at home at 9.30am-10am on Saturday 30th January using Facebook Live on the Astwood Bank Cricket Club Facebook page. Participants will need a soft ball or a tennis ball and a wall to bounce it off. If you are not able to do the session ‘live’ it will be possible to access it afterwards.

Tom has been running online fitness classes throughout the various lockdowns and is recognizable to all our juniors as a senior member of our coaching team at ABCC and AU Sports, so I’m sure you will all agree he is the man for the job as we enter uncharted waters.

It is highly unlikely we will be able to train indoors in groups this winter due to Covid. We are still optimistic that we will be able to play a lot of cricket this year and we will do our absolute best to help all our members to prepare for the 2021 season despite the challenges involved.
