As we start to get back to training with our full allocation of junior age groups, albeit with limited spaces and other various measures, I would like to put on record my thanks to all of the people working phenomenally hard behind the scenes in order to make all of this possible.
The sessions currently available to book online are only for the next couple of weeks or so as any changes to coaches availability or changes to covid guidelines from the government/ECB may mean we have to alter sessions. The sessions should be available for the rest of the summer (at least how they are currently) assuming we don't have any worsening of restrictions.
There has been a vast amount of guidelines and red tape to sift through in order to make all of this possible, as well as many physical tasks in order to make our facilities safe to use. The hours of work put in by committee members and junior coordinators was a monumental effort. The technology that we are using in order to coordinate everything is fairly new to us, so there have been a few teething problems with it but generally it's helping to make our lifes safer and easier. If there are any issues, give us a shout and we'll do our best to sort it out.
Thank you to all of the coaches and team managers that have been so supportive of the restart and in enabling us to offer cricket to so many people each week. The coordination of all of the coaches and allocation of ground space has been no easy task either and has taken hours and hours of work from a few people. Thank you as well to everyone that has signed up as members or signed up to sessions so far, your support in what has been a very testing time is testament to what a great club and community we have here.
We hope that you enjoy the opportunity to train more frequently, dont forget, you can still book the nets outside of training times for extra practice. Fingers crossed we have a few less downpours and thunder storms over the coming few weeks and who knows, maybe even get the chance to play some matches in the not too distant future if the ECB move us into step 4 of their steps back to cricket timeline.
