Name: Boozy Jase
Age: 51
I have been coming to the Bank for 13 years.
My son Connor Adams was keen to try cricket and Astwood Bank was near by so we went over as a family. On arrival we were met by The legend Andy “Foxy” Thomas who proceeded to introduce Connor to the coaches and then introduced us to the bar, we have been hooked ever since!
Role at ABCC?
Social Secretary, website manager, Social Media nerd & 2nd Xl scorer
On average I spend 12-15 hours a week on the Socials and Saturdays scoring (this doesn’t count though as I can do it with a beer)
What do you like about being a volunteer at ABCC?
The club has been a huge part of my life for so long and is a place I hold very close to my heart. I’ve loved watching Connor grow as a person, develop lifelong friendships and all whilst playing a great sport in a wonderfully safe environment, but I’m not unique as this happens every year for lots of families. By volunteering a few hours a week gives me an enormous amount of satisfaction as I can say I played my part.
If more people at ABCC became involved as volunteers how would that help the club? Volunteering for just a few hours a week helps to ensure our magical clubs remains the safe, wonderful environment for everyone it has become and who wouldn’t want to be a part of that?
Any support you can give is always welcome, whether it be 10 minutes or 10 hours there is always lots to do and you to can get the same buzz I get!
If you need me I’ll be by the bar 😊
