#VolunteersWeek Day 5

Today’s volunteer is particularly important because without Dad’s or Mums’s like him we wouldn’t be able to develop our Mini Bankers into the talented cricketers that are out there representing our village over the weekend. Playing the game we love in the sunshine with friends we grew up playing with is one of the best experiences in life , people like Paul make it possible.

Paul Stokes , aged 41, currently boys under 13’s manager, this is the 4th year with the team.

My sons had been part of the club for a couple of years before I became a team manager. It all started by just asking to help support the team, then before I knew it and after a training course I was managing the team. I have enjoyed managing the group as they are a great group of lads who all seem to really enjoy playing. I try to give the boys as much game opportunity as possible.

If there were more volunteers to help with scoring and umpiring in games then that would be a huge help and would make the games more enjoyable for all.
